THE AL-AHLI HOSPITAL AREA ATTACK—AN ATTEMPT AT OBJECTIVITY

THE AL-AHLI HOSPITAL AREA ATTACK—AN ATTEMPT AT OBJECTIVITY
HERE IS WHAT IS IN QUESTION AND MY CONCLUSIONS:
1. WHO IS RESPONSIBLE: Israel or the Palestinians (including Hamas and any other designated “terrorist” group)
I consider the evidence overwhelmingly shows Israel carried out the strike.
2. WHAT ACTUALLY CAUSED THE DEATHS AND INJURIES: was it an intentional bomb, an unintentional missile gone wrong, etc.?
This is particularly critical to get the facts on and understand, as the weapon that killed and injured the Palestinians in the outdoor area near the hospital, is for me the KEY to knowing with near certainty that Israel actually carried out the strike.
3. HOW MANY WERE KILLED AND INJURED?
Several hundred (200 to 400) killed, perhaps some hundreds injured. This is particularly difficult to ascertain.
4. WHAT WAS THE EXTENT OF DAMAGE TO BUILDINGS, VEHICLES, etc.?
The hospital buildings were not structurally damaged—windows were broken. The vehicles in the open area were incinerated.
BELOW IN CATEGORIES, I PUT THE SOURCES ACCORDING TO:

A WAR OF NARRATIVES IS BEING WAGED OVER GAZA HOSPITAL BOMBING | CROSSROADS Oct 19, 2023. 7:14
Initial reports that a Christian hospital was bombed in Gaza by Israel now appear to have been false. New evidence suggests a botched rocket attack from Hamas destroyed the hospital. Other evidence suggests the hospital wasn’t struck at all, but that instead an explosion destroyed several cars nearby. Regardless though, the explosion has sparked an international incident and mass protests. And unfortunately, this is also the nature of war—and of warring narratives.
MISSILES AND DRONES INTERCEPTED AS TERROR GROUPS TARGET US FORCES Crossroads, Oct 20, 2023
U.S. forces were attacked several times over the last two days in the Middle East, after corporate media spread fake stories, claiming that Israel bombed a hospital in Gaza. It’s now clear that the news outlets published false photos, gave fake numbers of deaths, and also pinned the blame on Israel, while it turns out it was a jihadist group operating alongside the Hamas terrorist group in Gaza. These stories led to mass protests and riots around the globe. We’ll discuss, in this episode of "Crossroads."
HAMAS EXPOSED: EUROPEAN INTELLIGENCE OFFICIAL REVEALS SHOCKING TRUTH ABOUT GAZA HOSPITAL DEATH TOLL Oct 20, 2023 Blabberbuzz
A recent report, attributed to a European intelligence official, has shed light on the likely death toll at the Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in Gaza, revealing that the figures previously disseminated by Hamas officials were grossly exaggerated.
THE ENTIRE "500 KILLED AFTER ISRAEL BOMBED HOSPITAL" NARRATIVE IS FALLING APART America First Report, JD Rucker, 19 Oct 2023
The truth is coming out and far too few will ever hear it.
On today's episode of The JD Rucker Show, I said that as of 5am this morning I was 85% sure the "bombing" of a hospital in Gaza City was from Palestinian Islamic Jihad, the "junior" terrorist group in Gaza. By mid-afternoon today, I'm at 99%; one can never be 100% sure of things like this in a world where pretty much anything can be faked.
At 99%, I'd say it's pretty darn certain.
Conservative commentator Benny Johnson laid out some condemnation for corporate media that echoed the initial false report as if it was gospel...
Hamas said Israel bombed a hospital and killed 500 people. We now have found out that:
1.Israel didn’t do it, it was a misfire by a terror group.
2.The hospital wasn’t bombed, it was a parking lot.
3.There is no evidence that 500 died beyond what Hamas said.
4.And our media parroted it all without question.
II. INTERNATIONAL MAINSTREAM MEDIA GENERAL ARTICLES—These vary from what appears to be an attempt for objectivity/neutrality to favoring Israel.
Article featuring the argument it was a Hamas rocket that did it:
UNCERTAINTY STILL SURROUNDS GAZA HOSPITAL STRIKE Malay Mail, Oct 21, 2023
Was Ahli Arab hospital in Gaza hit by Israeli fire? Or did it become the victim of a misfired Palestinian rocket? How many civilians were killed?
Israelis and Palestinians have traded blame for the deadly strike on the Christian-run hospital this week.
AFP analysed verified images and interviewed analysts and weapons experts who did not definitively rule out any scenario.
The researcher said that a rocket hitting gas tanks of several cars at the hospital was “the most likely hypothesis.”
The visible damage “is consistent with the hypothesis of engine pieces, for example, of a rocket, which fall in a ballistic alignment, projecting debris, flaming materials, and creating a blast effect”, said Joseph Henrotin, editor-in-chief of the journal Defence and International Security (DSI).

‘THE WOUNDED STARTED STUMBLING TOWARDS US’: THE CHAOS AFTER GAZA HOSPITAL BLAST The Guardian, Oct 18, 2023
After explosion at al-Ahli Arab hospital that Hamas says killed hundreds, survivors know there is no safe place in Gaza for civilians
The explosion ripped through a courtyard and car park filled with refugees early on Tuesday evening. The crowd had come to the church-run hospital seeking refuge, and spent the afternoon singing peace songs to keep up their spirits, said Hosam Naoum, the Anglican bishop of Jerusalem, who overseas al-Ahli.
They knew it was a place of only relative safety. Israeli forces had ordered the directors of al-Ahli to evacuate the hospital three times over the previous four days, reaching them by phone on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Two missiles also hit a hospital building on Saturday, Naoum said.
Administrators shared news of these warnings, and thousands left, but as bombing intensified in surrounding neighbourhoods, they flooded back.
“We had a moral obligation … We told them it is important you know what is taking place, but they have nowhere to go,” Naoum said. “At that point in time [of the blast], we know there were thousands of people there.”
“There was some bombing and airstrikes around the hospital and they fled in.” That flow of people in and out of the compound, as they tried to make impossible decisions about where might be safe in a city under relentless attack, had been “happening all the time, back and forth” he added.
For hundreds, the gamble on al-Ahli on Tuesday would prove fatal. The refugees bore the brunt of the blast, with medics and patients protected by hospital walls. Naoum said two employees were injured.

BLOODY BLANKETS AND ‘LOTS OF BODIES’ AT A DEVASTATED GAZA HOSPITAL. New York Times, Oct 18, 2023
“We’ve never lived through a war this intense,” said one Palestinian journalist who captured the aftermath of the blast.
The devastating impact of an explosion at the Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza City on Tuesday became clearer on Wednesday through videos that witnesses posted to social media. The Health Ministry in Gaza said hundreds of people were killed. Emergency workers were collecting bodies and remains in an effort to identify the dead.
“There are still lots of bodies they haven’t yet collected,” said Amir Ahmed, a paramedic with the Palestinian Red Crescent in Gaza City. “There are too many bodies.” He said all the victims would be buried in a mass grave at a funeral later on Wednesday.

GAZA OFFICIALS SAY IDF HAD WARNED AL-AHLI HOSPITAL 4 DAYS AGO THAT IT SHOULD BE EVACUATED CNN, Oct 18, 2023
Officials in Gaza said on Wednesday that the Al-Ahli hospital was damaged by two Israeli shells four days ago, after which the Israel Defense Forces warned the hospital’s management to evacuate the premises.
Youssef Abu Al-Rish, the Deputy Health Minister in Gaza, said that two Israeli shells hit the hospital on Saturday.
Al-Rish said that on the following day, the IDF contacted the manager of the hospital, Dr. Maher Ayad, criticizing him for “not evacuating the facility.”
Al-Rish said the IDF had told Ayad that the shells had been a warning. They “told the hospital’s manager, you have been warned yesterday with two shells, so why you haven’t evacuated the hospital till this moment,” Al-Rish said.
CNN has reached out to the IDF for comment on the claim.
III. NEUTRAL TO PRO-PALESTINE REPORTING
Aljazeera report, a source that the Israeli government is considering totally banning:
WHAT IS ISRAEL’S NARRATIVE ON THE GAZA HOSPITAL EXPLOSION? Aljazeera, Oct 18, 2023
Denials of responsibility and deleted social media posts arouse suspicion around Israel’s view of the attack.
In the fog of war, reactions have been confused, with denials of responsibility from both Israeli and Palestinian camps against a backdrop of competing online narratives and widespread disinformation.
But many are disinclined to believe Israel’s claim that the explosion was caused by a rocket launched by the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) group. This scepticism has been fuelled by contradictions between Israel’s immediate and later responses.

Some military munition information to consider:
ISRAEL’S CULPABILITY RE AL-AHLI ARAB HOSPITAL BOMBING IS UNDENIABLE Covert Geopolitics, Oct 18, 2023
Israeli denial of the hospital bombing is contradicted by the following evidence:
The explosion was unusually large for a Hamas rocket.
The explosion’s yield appears to be consistent with IDF munitions currently being used in Gaza in the last few days, rather than the less powerful locally made rockets produced by Hamas.
The characteristics of the explosion are reminiscent of a JDAM 1000lb munition in terms of yield.
The absence of a secondary explosion suggests that the hospital was not being used as a weapons storage site.
JDAM has been widely used in various military operations, including conflicts in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Syria. Its accuracy and effectiveness have made it a valuable tool for military forces seeking to minimize civilian casualties and infrastructure damage while targeting specific military objectives.
Military “facts” to consider supporting article above--NOTE: Hedges gets it WRONG about hospital being hit by bomb, IT WAS NOT.
ISRAEL’S CULTURE OF DECEIT Chris Hedges, 19 Oct 2023
Israel, which always seeks to blame Palestinians for the atrocities it carries out, is the least trustworthy source about the bombing of the hospital in Gaza.
There is nothing in the arsenal of Hamas or Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) that could have replicated the massive explosive power of the missile that killed an estimated 500 civilians in the al-Ahli Arab Christian hospital in Gaza. Nothing. If Hamas or Palestinian Islamic Jihad had these kinds of missiles, huge buildings in Israel would be rubble with hundreds of dead. They don’t.
The whistling sound, audible on the video moments before the explosion, appears to comes from the high velocity of a missile. This sound gives it away. No Palestinian rocket makes this noise. And then there is the speed of the missile. Palestinian rockets are slow and lumbering, clearly visible as they arch in the sky and then tumble in free fall towards their targets. They do not strike with precision or travel at close to supersonic speed. They are incapable of killing hundreds of people.
Following the strike on the hospital, Hananya Naftali, a “digital aide” to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, posted on X, formerly Twitter: “Israeli Air Force struck a Hamas terrorist base inside a hospital in Gaza.” The post was quickly deleted.
After the bombing of the hospital, Israel first released a video that purported to show Palestinian Islamic Jihad rockets which struck the hospital. The Israelis hastily removed the video when journalists noticed that time stamps showed the images were taken 40 minutes after the strike on the hospital.
Israeli propagandists — aware that Palestinian rockets have little explosive power — then claimed that Hamas stored munitions under the hospital. This caused the massive explosion, they said. But if this was true, it would mean there would be a secondary explosion. There was none.
Actual video of JDAM bomb strike on the hospital supporting the claims of two Pro-Palestine articles above on the kind of bomb that could only come from Israel:
BREAKING: THE HOSPITAL WAS HIT WITH A VERY HIGH PROBABILITY BY A JDAM BOMB.
- This means it was the Israeli airforce.
- This means it was a targeted attack.

AL-AHLI HOSPITAL IN GAZA HIT WITH DIRECT ISRAELI STRIKE – PHOTOS & VIDEO Palestine Chronicle, Oct 15, 2023
Al-Ahli Arab Hospital, one of the main medical facilities in Gaza City, has been hit with a direct Israeli military strike, first Al-Aqsa satellite channel, then Arab and international media reported.
The news of the attack on the hospital’s Diagnostic Cancer Treatment Center was also confirmed in a Facebook message by Don Binder, Canon of St. George’s Cathedral, on Saturday.
News reports said that the hospital sustained infrastructural damage due to the bombing, complicating the work of already struggling medical facilities throughout the besieged Gaza Strip.
This is the message by Binder:
“ALERT: AHLI HOSPITAL STRUCK BY ISRAELI ROCKET FIRE!
“At about 7:30 pm local time today, Ahli Hospital’s Diagnostic Cancer Treatment Center in Gaza was hit by Israeli rocket fire. The strike severely damaged the two upper floors, including the Ultrasound and Mammography wards.
“Four of the hospital staff working there were injured in the blast and are receiving treatment for their wounds.
“The Diagnostic Center is the Crown Jewel of Ahli Hospital, providing cancer diagnosis as a prelude to various treatment options both at Ahli and in other facilities.

WHAT WE KNOW ABOUT THE AL-AHLI BAPTIST HOSPITAL BLAST International Middle East Media Center, Oct 20, 2023
Israel, at first tacitly admitted responsibility for hitting the hospital in its ongoing airstrikes against Gaza, but then switched direction and claimed that Palestinian “friendly fire” was responsible. Israeli officials have presented what they say is evidence showing that the massive damage was caused by misfired Palestinian rocketry. Israel has changed its version a number of times.
Many Palestinian officials and other observers have disputed the Israeli assertion, especially given that Israel had previously warned that Gaza hospitals would be damaged by its forces.
In fact, Israel had already bombed the hospital a few days earlier, on Saturday, October 14.
Al Jazeera reports that a senior health official in Gaza says that Israel had fired two artillery shells as a “warning” at Al-Ahli Hospital two days before the recent blast.
According to the report, “The hospital was first attacked on Saturday evening. A day later, the Israeli army called the hospital’s director and told him: ‘We warned you yesterday with two shells’ and asked for the evacuation of the facility.” The next day the attack on Al-Ahli occurred.
